5 Ways to Finish the Year on a High Note

5 Ways to Finish the Year on a High Note

If you feel like 2019 hasn’t been all that you’d hoped it would be, the good news is that it isn’t over.

It’s that time of the year when it starts to get a little colder (if you live in the northern hemisphere), the holidays are coming up, and it feels like the year is winding down and it’s too late to achieve any new goals.

I’ll admit I fall into the same trap. I’ve already been thinking about my goals for 2020.

But let’s not forget that there’s still 10 weeks left in 2019 (at least at the time of writing this). Even accounting for some time off around the holidays, there’s still time to achieve a goal or make some progress towards your next goal. You don’t need to wait until next year.

Here are 5 things you can do to finish off the year on a high note:

  1. Look back at your original list of goals for 2019 and work on any item you haven’t checked off yet. If your priorities have shifted since the beginning of the year, and those unmet goals no longer interest you, then it’s no problem. You can just pick a brand new goal to work towards.

  2. Declutter. You can declutter your home, your emails, your Evernote, all your digital stuff, you can even declutter your business. Decluttering makes space for more abundance to come your way.

  3. Learn a new skill. Identify one new skill that could help you in your business or an area you know you need improvement in, and look up a tutorial or take a mini course. Not only will it help you achieve one more goal in 2019, but it will help you start 2020 even more ready to achieve next year’s goals.

  4. Create or re-launch a product or program. What better way to make more money quickly than to re-launch a product or program you already created. You don’t even need to do anything to update it, you can just put some new marketing efforts into it to increase sales. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you always need to create something new to make more money. That thing you already made? There’s more customers out there for it that just never heard about it when you first launched it.

  5. Plan your business goals and your content marketing for next year. Although this one seems more like a goal for next year rather than this year, if you can have your goal planning and content marketing planned out for next year, or even just the first half or first quarter of 2020 by the end of 2019, that’s a fantastic achievement. You’ll be able to start off the new year already ahead of the game.
